One of our most special and beloved horses, Jasmine, passed away on June 9th, 2011. She was the most patient, gentle and loving horse we have ever known. She was loved by people of all ages, from young children riding for the very first time to adults who loved to ride dressage on her. She was the best horse to learn to canter on, because she would obediently go into a slow canter for a few strides, then back into the trot when her rider seemed unsure.
Jasmine's bloodlines go back to the great Arabian stallion *Aladdin, and she was born in a hunter jumper barn. Later in her life, she competed up to first level dressage. She competed at the Arabian Nationals twice and earned many ribbons throughout her show career. She had a special relationship with our trainer Fe Fandreyer, and was also the first mount of Fe's son, Trip.
Jasmine was 25 years old when she passed, and she spent her final moments in her big grassy field, with all of her friends around her, on a warm sunny day. Though we miss her terribly, she will always be in our hearts.
